About Bezuidenhout Social Club
Working with Bezuidenhout Social Club
We are a warm, welcoming social community for the international minded and English-speaking residents in The Hague (and surroundings).
Join us to connect, share, and grow your local network!
Our events are in English, and we’re happy to welcome both internationals and Dutch locals who enjoy connecting in English.
Both! We welcome internationals, as well as Dutch locals who enjoy connecting in English.
Having this mix of people is what makes the community vibrant and unique—it’s a chance for cultural exchange as well as friendship.
Many newcomers would love to connect with Dutch locals, though that can sometimes feel challenging—whether because of language differences or simply because locals already have established circles.
That’s why we cherish creating a space where these connections can naturally grow.
By welcoming everyone, we create a space where locals can open the door to new friendships, and newcomers get the chance to feel truly at home.
Not at all!
While our events are rooted in the Bezuidenhout community, everyone is welcome to join.
Whether you live nearby or just enjoy spending time here, you’re invited to participate and connect with us.
Joining the club is completely free and very easy.

All of our events require a pre-registration.
Details are always shared in our newsletter and event announcements.
Our events are primarily designed to be friendly for solo participation, and some are specifically created for parents and young children (if this is the case, it will be noted in the event description).
Bringing a friend can also be a great way to ease into the community. You are more than welcome to bring someone along!
Whether you prefer to join us solo or with a partner, you will find a warm and welcoming space.
Yes! Our community is made up of a diverse mix of people: internationals, Dutch locals, students, young professionals, parents, and long-time residents.
What everyone shares is the interest in connecting in English and the desire to meet like-minded people.
Because we organize a wide range of activities—from casual coffee meetups to professional networking circles—you’re likely to find people who share your interests, background, or life stage.
Not at all. Many people join our events for the first time without knowing anyone, and that’s completely normal.
Creating safe, respectful, and supportive environments is central to what we do. Our events are designed to make it easy for individuals to come on their own and feel comfortable. We keep our activities relaxed, low-threshold, and easy-going, so newcomers feel comfortable right away.
Our organizers are always there to welcome you, and make sure you feel included. You can expect a friendly welcome, introductions to others, and an atmosphere where people look out for one another.
Absolutely. Inclusivity is one of our core values.
We want Bezuidenhout Social Club to be a space where everyone feels at home, no matter their age, background, or personal situation. We warmly welcome diversity in all its forms, including family structures, LGBTQ+ identities, and neurodiverse perspectives.
Everyone belongs here.
Most of our events take place right in the Bezuidenhout area of The Hague.
We make use of lovely local cafés, community centers, and neighborhood venues to keep things accessible and convenient.
Occasionally, we also organize outings to cultural spots, museums, or other locations in the city, but our home base remains the neighborhood.
We run activities throughout the month, with a mix of weekly, monthly, and seasonal events.
Some are casual and recurring, like coffee meetups, while others are special one-off gatherings, workshops, or outings.
By signing up for our newsletter, you’ll always know what’s coming up next.
No membership is required. Our aim is to keep participation easy and flexible. You can attend as often as you like—whether that’s regularly or just once in a while. There’s no pressure, only the invitation to join when it feels right for you.
Yes! More than just events, you’ll join a community where connections matter.
It’s not what you know but who you know—meeting people with similar interests and questions helps you feel at home, share solutions, and build friendships that make life in The Hague richer and more fun.
